Ally is the closest I've ever had to my ideal Aussie.  She's an amazing little dog and I will be forever grateful to have had the experience of her in my life.  She has a very strong work ethic and is extremely biddable.  She hates to be wrong and really wants to please.

Ally grew into a phenomenal little dog on stock.  She always had a beautiful natural ability to rate her stock.  She was always very easy to push back off of stock on those few times she needed it.  She naturally gave me square flanks as a very young dog and always had a great sense of balance and a good fetch on her.  She could work as close or as far as the varying types of stock needed.  She was always natural about these things and these are the traits I'd love to maintain in my dogs.

Ally placed 3rd in Advanced cattle at 2003 Nationals

Ally finishing her ASCA Championship and Versatility Championship
Thank you Kim Base for the photo!

Ally was shown sparingly in the conformation ring in ASCA and finished with 5 majors and  two Reserves.  Thanks to Sandra Cornwell, Sharon Rowe, Sunday Miles, & Gemi Brickson for the points and to Gary Hawley and Ann DeChant for the Reserve wins!  She's very clean moving, coming, going and great timing and balance on her side gait.

Ally has a wonderful temperament.  She will happily greet new people with wiggles and "gifts" (metal food bowls, shoes, whatever...) but does not maul them or solicit attention after her initial greeting.  She can be a bit territorial with dogs that don't understand Canine language, but is very manageable and works with me to "clear" her space.   She generally loves other Aussies, but has a difficult time with pushy, in your face dogs.  I think she is very appropriate and find this temperament common in most of our dogs.

Ally is just a neat little dog.  There's just no other way to describe her.  She's very intuitive and sensitive to people.  She hates to be wrong and is extremely biddable.  All I have to do is calmly show her what I want, what we're trying to do and then let her do it.  I love that about her.
